Popular music is made for financial reasons, everyone in that industry wants to earn a living from it. Due to digitization, people only hear music that you have once chosen to listen to.
You are then inundated with much of the same. Your freedom of action is very limited by the algorithm systems. You have to look for completely different music, autonomous music for sure. I know nothing about the structures and agreements that music composers make or have. I make kaleidoscopic music in which anything goes, works in which many styles of music are used and mixed together. From chamber music to prog rock, spiritual jazz to electronics and minimalism. It is not perfect and there will be 'errors' in it, but it lives… as a human being who is autonomous and has freedom of action.
